MedLynq
NABH certified · ABDM M1–M4 · NHCX ready

You treated the patient. Now you have to prove it to get paid.

Out of every 100 claims, 15 to 20 come back rejected. On the ones that do get paid, 8 to 15 percent of the money is quietly cut. MedLynq checks every claim before it leaves your hospital, so it does not come back.

Where the money goes

The treatment was never the problem. The paperwork was.

Every rupee below is lost after the patient has been treated and sent home. Not because of the doctor. Because of a missing paper, a missed date, or a signature nobody could get in time.

Ward · 11:40

A runner is walking to the ward. Again.

Twenty-odd documents per claim, and the file cannot move until the last signature is physically collected.

WhatsApp · 12:05

The consent form is on somebody's phone.

Photographed in a corridor, forwarded on WhatsApp, half of it lost to glare.

Day 12 of 15

The 15-day clock is already running.

Fifteen days, tracked in a paper notebook. Miss it by a day and the claim closes against you.

OT · unreachable

The surgeon is in theatre.

The payer wants a justification signed by the one person on campus who cannot be interrupted.

Settlement

The final bill does not match the approval.

Nobody catches it in-house. You find out when the deduction lands.

Handover

The person who knew everything has left.

The scheme rules lived in her head. So did the queries still waiting on a reply.

How your team uses it

One app for the ward. One screen for the billing desk.

Ward staff use a phone app to send documents. The billing team watches every claim on one screen. Both see the same claim at the same time.

Staff use their own phone

No hardware to buy, no scanner queue at the desk. The person holding the document is the person who files it.

02

Nothing is saved on the phone

Pages go straight into the patient's file. They can't be forwarded, backed up, or found on a lost phone.

03

Patient details removed before sending

Aadhaar, faces and signatures are stripped on the hospital's side, so the raw document never leaves your network.

It reaches the right patient file

The desk sees the document appear against the right patient, tagged and timestamped, seconds after the shutter.

What MedLynq does

A claim can break at four points. We cover all four.

Collecting the papers. Completing the file. Replying to the insurer on time. Sending it out and getting paid. Most software helps with one of these. MedLynq does all four.

Why MedLynq

Your HIMS already sends claims. That is not the same as getting paid.

Many hospitals ask this first: our hospital software is already ABDM ready, so why do we need anything else? Because sending a claim and getting the money back are two different jobs. Your HIMS does the first one. Nobody in the building is doing the second.

Your HIMS, ABDM ready
MedLynq
Your HIMSSends the claim file out to the exchange.
MedLynqChecks the claim before it is sent.
Your HIMSOnly holds what someone typed into it.
MedLynqAlso collects the papers lying in the ward and the OT.
Your HIMSCannot tell that page 4 was never signed.
MedLynqFlags the missing signature while the file is still with you.
Your HIMSDoes not notice the bill crossed the approved amount.
MedLynqStops the bill at the cap and asks for approval in time.
Your HIMSMarks the claim as sent, and stops there.
MedLynqFollows it to the money and shows what was cut.
Your HIMSIf the claim is rejected, the hospital takes the loss.
MedLynqStopping that rejection is our only job.
Gap 01

The paper never reaches the computer

Nursing charts, handwritten OT notes, implant stickers peeled off the box, and CT films the patient carried in from outside. None of it is in your software.

Ward staff send it in seconds, from a phone.
Gap 02

Nobody checks the claim before it goes

A high-end antibiotic billed against a simple fever code. A bill that crossed the approved amount two days ago. Sending it faster only means it is rejected faster.

Every claim is checked first, and fixed before it leaves.
Gap 03

The 15-day clock, and a surgeon in theatre

The insurer asks a question. Your software cannot answer it. Someone has to catch the doctor between operations, and the window closes in 15 days.

The clock is tracked and the doctor signs from a phone.
Gap 04

Patient details leave your network

Aadhaar numbers, faces and signatures sitting in ordinary uploads. Under the DPDP Act, penalties for weak safeguards run up to ₹250 crore.

Details are removed before anything leaves the hospital.

Your hospital

See what your hospital is losing every year.

Move the three sliders to match your hospital. This is simple maths on known rejection rates, not a promise. On a call we will run it on your real claim files.

Assumes MedLynq removes half of what is currently lost to paperwork — the conservative end of what hospitals see once queries stop being missed.

NHCX · National Health Claims Exchange

Claims travel on the national exchange instead of a different portal for every payer.

DPDP Act 2023

Patient data protected by design and processed inside India. Legal signs off in days, not months.

NABH certified

Built to NABH standards for hospital HIS and EMR systems, so it sits inside an accredited hospital process without carve-outs.

Runs alongside the hospital system you already use. No migration, no rebuild, nothing new for IT to maintain.

Field notes

What we keep seeing inside hospitals.

Short pieces from working on real claims desks. No theory, no vendor language.

A TPA query costs far more than the reply

Queries

Writing the answer to a query takes about ten minutes. That is never where the cost is. The cost is the three days spent finding out which claim the query belongs to, digging the file out, working out which doctor can answer it, and then catching that doctor between operations.

Meanwhile the fifteen-day window is running. Most claims that die on a query do not die because the hospital had no answer. They die because the answer arrived on day sixteen, or because nobody noticed the clock at all. The fix is not a better reply. It is knowing on day one exactly what is being asked, of whom, and how long is left.

Claims fail on paperwork, not on medicine

Rejections

Look at a month of rejected claims in almost any hospital and the pattern is the same. An unsigned page. A discharge summary that never made it into the file. A high-end antibiotic billed against a simple fever code. A final bill that quietly crossed the approved amount two days before discharge.

Almost none of it is a clinical dispute. The treatment was correct and the patient went home well. The money was lost afterwards, in a folder. That is worth sitting with, because it means the recovery is an administrative problem with an administrative fix, not a negotiation with the insurer.

What the national claims exchange changes, and what it does not

NHCX

The exchange is a real improvement. One route to many payers instead of a separate portal, login and format for each. Claims move faster and their status comes back in a form a system can read.

What it does not do is check your claim. If the file that goes out is incomplete, the exchange delivers that incomplete file faster and the rejection arrives sooner. Being connected is not the same as being ready. The work that decides whether you get paid still happens inside the hospital, before anything is sent.
